Privacy Policy
YellowLeaf.AI makes short promotional videos ("reels") from photos, clips and ideas you send us on WhatsApp or our website. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Contact details: your WhatsApp number, name and business name.
- Business profile: profession, logo, colours, city, language, call-to-action and style preferences.
- Content you send: photos, video clips, audio, voice notes and text describing your reel, and the reels we make from them.
- Conversation records: messages exchanged with our WhatsApp number, needed to deliver the service.
- Payment records: plan purchased, amount, date and the UPI reference you share. We do not collect card or bank login details.
- Connected accounts (Gold plan only): if you connect YouTube or Instagram, the access tokens those platforms give us, your channel or account ID and the permissions you granted. We never ask for your passwords.
- Technical logs: timestamps, error codes and request identifiers used to run and secure the service.
Why we use it
- To create, revise and deliver your reels, and to remember your preferences.
- To upload reels to your connected YouTube or Instagram account, only after you approve each reel.
- To confirm payments, manage your reel credits and prevent abuse of the free trial.
- To provide support, keep the service secure and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your content to advertise to others.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers needed to run YellowLeaf.AI, under their own terms:
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business messaging; Instagram publishing when you connect it).
- Google (YouTube publishing when you connect it).
- Voice, music and AI processing providers that generate captions, scripts and voiceovers from your brief.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers, with data stored in India where available.
We may disclose information when required by law.
YouTube and Google user data
If you connect YouTube, we use the YouTube API Services only to upload the reels you approve to your channel and to check their upload status. By connecting, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. YellowLeaf.AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke our access at any time at Google security settings or by asking us to disconnect.
How long we keep it
- Media and reels: deleted automatically after your plan's retention period (7 days for the free trial, 30 days for Silver and Gold) unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Connected-account tokens: deleted immediately when you disconnect or ask us to delete your data.
- Payment and invoice records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Connected-account tokens are encrypted at rest and are never shared with AI models. Each customer's data is isolated from other customers.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. See Data deletion or contact us below. Withdrawing consent stops future processing but does not affect reels already delivered.

We will acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within the time the law requires. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
We will post updates here and notify active customers on WhatsApp about material changes.
